Second Grade Attended a Spotlight Play Yesterday! The Play is called "Devon's Hurt"
The play focused on friendship and bullying. In this play, there were four actors
who will told the story of two best friends. After the show students had a group discussion where
they had a chance to voice their thoughts about the show, what it means to be a good
friend, and the issue of bullying.

School Picture Day is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see those bright smiles!
Here are a few quick tips to help your student look and feel their best:
Wear Solid Colors or Subtle Patterns: Bright, solid colors or simple patterns pop best against the background.
Keep Hair Natural & Comfortable: Stick with everyday hairstyles! Trying out a brand-new cut or complex style right before photos can sometimes cause extra stress.
Layer Up: A simple jacket, cardigan, or sweater over a shirt adds great texture and gives a classic, polished look.
Practice That Smile: Remind your child to bring their authentic smile—silly, toothy, or subtle, we love them all!

512 had a really exciting lab experience yesterday! Students had to complete a task (separating dry materials) and they had to come up with their own plan to separate the four materials. Each group came up with a plan, got it approved, and then carried out their plan. We made mistakes, had successes, made changes, and shared our observations when we were done! We also worked on writing down observations, measuring accurately, and collaborating to find our best results. Mrs. Jenkins' favorite part was the AMAZING teamwork that she observed and how group members included each other! Way to demonstrate Collaborative Connor, 512!
